Also, they claimed that their revenue has increased by 53% than their competitors. Considering the growing demand for the cloud service, it is expected to raise USD 623.95 billion by 2023.

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing is a commercially provided data center with services like storage, server, database, application functionality, networking, and analytic via the internet. Previously, most of the companies had to have their own local storage and server to run their applications or systems. The cost of owning a data center and the infrastructure was high. Also, all those hardware and software were needed to be maintained by the IT experts. This all increases the expenses of the company.

Cloud Computing has revolutionized those bulky and expensive ways of data storage and servers by offering a wide range of capabilities over the internet where the company needs to pay for what they use on a monthly basis.

Benefits of Cloud Computing

Cost Efficiency: Cloud computing provides you with all kinds of facilities of data storage, server, infrastructures, software, and even IT experts for the maintenance. Hence, you don’t have to worry about the software license, cost for the equipment, and their installation. Expenses of cloud service are paid as per the usage.

Scalability: Cloud computing service provides a large space for your data as per the needs. The cost of upgrading storage and servers for those companies who had fluctuating bandwidth is really high. But cloud service has revolutionized this by providing the facilitates to expand their cloud without worrying about the infrastructure and its cost.

Security: Security is the main concern for every business and company. Cloud Computing maintains very advanced security which is more secure than local servers. They practice encryption technology to secure data from hackers and other unauthorized sources. Also, there are always cloud engineers who are dedicated to protecting the infrastructure. They track the unusual happening and trace or respond to them immediately. Cloud has adopted different security tools to track the movement of data among the cloud and clients. These tools will immediately know fraudulent data in the cloud.

Backup and Recovery: Data loss has always been a challenge for all organizations regardless of size and scale. Cloud ensures that your data is safe even if your computers are crushed or damaged. Cloud can help you recover your data from all kinds of emergencies, natural disasters, etc.

Accessibility: Cloud makes it easier for an organization to share the resources among the team. Also, an authorized team member can retrieve those data from anywhere via the internet. All the updates are provided by the cloud vendors which reduces the workload of the organization.

Types of Cloud Computing Deployment Models

Public Cloud: It is the service provided by the third party company. All the hardware and infrastructure are located on the premises of the service provider. They are responsible for the operation and maintenance of all infrastructures. Clients can use this service through an account for which they have to pay a monthly subscription. In a public cloud, one cloud company can have many customers. Amazon Web Service (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platforms, etc. are some of the companies that provide public cloud services.

Private Cloud: As the name suggests, a private cloud is defined as the service dedicated to the needs of a single company. The service is provided through a public or private network. CISCO, ORACLE, etc. are some companies that provide private cloud services.

Hybrid Cloud: The combination of private and public clouds is a hybrid cloud. Many companies use this service where they interact with users in the public cloud and keep the data secure in a private cloud. IBM, VMWARE, Windows Azure, etc. are some companies that provide hybrid Cloud services.
